Content Marketing – Use it or Lose It #omsummit

Content marketing is so hot right now.  According to a recent Content Marketing Survey Report 2012 published by Econsultancy, over 90% of respondents believe content marketing will become more important over the next 12 months. We as marketers have realized that in order to truly connect with our audience, stories need to be told that resonate with them.

Great. So how do we do that? Setting goals would be a good place to start. Do you want to drive traffic to your site? Want to increase your Twitter followers? Do you want to humanize your brand? There is a lot to think about before going to the next step. A content marketing strategy (platform and frequency) needs to be created to optimize what your story is and it will be told. Thanks to the innovative technology that is being generated at light speed, stories can be told through various mediums. Social media, blogs, videos, email, photos, white papers, webcasts are ways to keep the attention of your desired audience.

Remember, content marketing is a way to provide a good experience for your audience. If they enjoy what they are consuming, they will come back and take further actions with your brand.
